PROVIDENCE — In their final home game of the 2017 calendar year, the Providence Bruins face the Utica Comets this afternoon.
Zane McIntyre starts in goal for the P-Bruins.
On Saturday night at The Dunk, Providence beat the Comets in overtime, 3-2, for their sixth win in a row.
Jordan Szwarz won it with a power-play goal at 3:16 of the extra session after Connor Clifton tied the game with a shorthanded goal with 3:27 left in regulation. It was Clifton’s first goal as a pro.
The P-Bruins start the day in first place in the Atlantic Division, second in the Eastern Conference and third overall in the AHL.
After today, Providence plays eight straight on the road, starting Wednesday night in Hershey.
